Draft contract documents for the erection of the proposed new bridge at Wexford have been submitted to my Department by the Wexford County Council. I hope to be in a position to issue a decision thereon in the near future.
If the documents are in order, it will be a matter for the county council to arrange for the invitation of tenders and I cannot say at this stage when work will commence.
Would the Minister be in a position to give a decision in, say, a matter of months?
It will not be that long.
Then it will be weeks or so.
He will need to give us more money, too.
