asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the need for post office facilities for residents of the area in the vicinity of Half-Way House Cross near Drimnagh and Crumlin in view of the increased population and the considerable building development which has taken place there in recent years; and, if so, if he will consider opening a post office in suitable premises near this crossing.

The establishment of a sub-post office in the vicinity of the Half-Way House Cross is not warranted at present. When building development in the area is more advanced the question of providing a sub-office at a central site will be considered.
