asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether the directors of Irish Steel Limited have yet considered the erection of the tin plate mill at Haulbowline; and, if so, the nature of the decision reached.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 5 and 6 together.
I would refer the Deputy to my reply to similar questions by him on the 21st October, 1953, in which I said that proposals for legislation affecting this concern were in preparation and that I preferred not to make a statement on the matters in question until the Bill is under consideration by the Dáil. The Bill is in course of drafting, and I would ask the Deputy to await my statement thereon.
