Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Broadcast of Football Match.
The cost of the relay was £40 18s. 10d. This expense was only for the lines to Paris. The transmission onwards from Paris to Brazzaville and over the shortwave station from there was given free by the French radio authorities. The service was provided at the request of Irish priests in the African foreign missions. Several hundred appreciative letters and cables were received from all over the world.
