Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

I beg to state, for the information of the Dáil,

(1) that, having informed the President of the fact that Dáil Eireann approved my nomination of Deputies to be members of the Government, the President appointed them accordingly on the 2nd instant;

(2) that, on the same date, I nominated William Norton to be the Tánaiste;

(3) that, on the same date, I assigned the Departments of State to the members of the Government as follows:—

The Department of Industry and Commerce

William Norton,

The Department of Education

Richard Mulcahy,

The Department of Lands

Joseph Blowick,

The Department of Justice

James Everett,

The Department of Agriculture

James Dillon,

The Department of Defence

Seán MacEoin,

The Department of Posts and Telegraphs

Michael Keyes,

The Department of External Affairs

Liam Cosgrave,

The Department of Social Welfare

and
