asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will make a grant to the Limerick Harbour Commissioners in connection with the proposed link-line between the docks and the railway station.
I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 16 and 17 together.
C.I.E. propose to provide a rail link to connect the cement factory at Castlemungret with Limerick railway station and have applied for an Order under Section 14 of the Transport Act, 1950, to confer on them the additional powers necessary for the purpose. Arrangements for the making of this Order are in train, but I cannot say when the work will commence.
There is no proposal before me regarding the provision of a rail link to the docks at Limerick.
