asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of persons registered at Dunmanway, Clonakilty, Skibbereen, Castletownbere and Bantry employment exchanges on 1st November for each of the years from 1951 to 1954, inclusive.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Registered Unemployed in Cork.
As statistics concerning the numbers of persons registered at local offices of my Department are compiled in respect of each Saturday only, it is not possible to give the required information in respect of the 1st November for each of the years mentioned. The tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report shows in respect of the Saturday nearest to the 1st November in each of the years the numbers of persons registered at the local offices mentioned by the Deputy.
Following is the statement:—

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what steps he proposes to take to ensure that no undue unemployment will arise in the Beara and Kilcaskin areas, County Cork.
I would refer the Deputy to the replies to his previous question on 27th October, 1954, and to a question by Deputy M. P. Murphy on 25th November, 1954.
The proportionate amount of grants available for the area in relation to the number of unemployment assistance recipients has already been allocated for works in the Beara peninsula, including the electoral division of Kilcaskin.
