Vol. 147 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dungarvan Primary School.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position in regard to the proposal to erect new schools to replace the present boys' and girls' national school at Abbeyside, Dungarvan.

I am informed by the Commissioners of Public Works that the working drawings for the proposed new boys' and girls' schools at Abbeyside, Dungarvan, are in course of preparation and will be completed shortly. Bills of quantities will then have to be prepared by a quantity surveyor before tenders can be invited for the erection of the schools.

These preliminary arrangements will take a considerable time to complete yet, but as I informed the Deputy in reply to his previous question on the 28th October, 1954, every effort will be made to have the case expedited.
