Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sligo Land Division.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring for division among local small landholders the lands of Mr. Patterson, Caltra, Owenbeg, County Sligo, which were recently offered for sale, and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the resumption of this holding but are having inquiries made about it.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the remainder of the Hillas estate, Templeboy, County Sligo, for the relief of congestion in the area, and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission recently obtained a detailed report on the remaining lands held by this owner; they did not, however, decide upon taking any further action.

Acquisition proceedings are in force for 75 acres, the property of this owner, but the question of price is still outstanding.
