Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Donegal National Development Fund Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the total amount of the grant made available to the Donegal County Council from the National Development Fund, and if he will give particulars of the various schemes to be financed from this grant, which have been approved by his Department.

Grants totalling £101,500 have been made available to Donegal County Council for the following purposes: Road Works—£91,500; Local Authorities (Works) Act Schemes —£10,000.

The schemes to absorb these allocations have in all cases been approved. In the majority of cases the grants comprised in this total of £101,500 were supplementing previous grants, and it would be difficult to indicate exactly which works are being charged to the various grants. These grants were made available as part of block allocations for the several works. The schemes which were submitted by the Donegal County Council are set out in my reply to the Deputy's question on the 3rd of this month.
