I am informed by the E.S.B. that they have not, so far, carried out experiments to test the efficacy of wind power as a means of generating electricity. The board have, however, taken records of wind velocity at various points on the west coast from Donegal to Kerry and a small experimental wind power electricity generating set is expected to be available for testing purposes at a site in County Dublin early in 1956.
