Vol. 153 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wheat and Flour Statistics.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total quantity of dried millable home-grown wheat delivered to flour mills in each of the cereal years 1950 to 1954 and to date in the current year.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the number of barrels of native wheat delivered to mills in each of the past five years and to date in the current year.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 1 and 2 together.

The particulars requested by Deputy Fanning are not available in the exact form specified in his question as some of the wheat received by flour millers is dried and some is undried. The total deliveries, expressed in weights of dried wheat, are given in a table which, again with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
