There are no proposals before me at present which would result in providing an appreciable increase in employment in Mallow. As the Deputy will appreciate, the establishment of industries is primarily a matter for private enterprise and local initiative. If any sound proposal is put forward for the establishment of an industry in Mallow, it will be given every encouragement.
