Vol. 154 No. 2

Written Answers. - Bread and Flour.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state (a) the ingredients, and the quantity of each, added by bakers to the 280 lb. sack of flour in making the ordinary bread retailed in shops, and (b) the number of lbs. of bread that can be made out of a sack of (i) Manitoba No. 1 flour, and (ii) home-grown Irish flour.

I have no information on any of the matters referred to in the question other than that given in Part V of the published Report of the Flour and Bread Inquiry, dated 25th July, 1949, and to which I would refer the Deputy.
