Before the hospital at Mallow can be put into use as a county hospital it will be necessary to have certain repairs and redecoration carried out and the proposals of the local authority in that regard have been approved. Allowing reasonable time for the preparation of a detailed specification, the obtaining of tenders and the carrying out of the works some months must elapse. I will endeavour to ensure that the work will be pressed forward expeditiously so that the hospital may be brought into operation at the earliest possible date.
