Vol. 154 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Playing Field Grants.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the steps being taken in regard to the provision of shelters, toilet accommodation and up-to-date pavilions at Phoenix Park, Dublin, he will give grants for the same purposes in respect of playing fields which are the property of local authorities in other parts of the Republic.

Grants to local authorities from the Employment and Emergency Schemes Vote can be utilised for these purposes provided that the amenities mentioned form part of suitable schemes affording sufficient employment to unskilled labour.

I take it we will get the same proportion as the Phoenix Park?

You have it—very nearly. If you look at what you have got, you are fairly well away.
