asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) the names of the estates in County Meath which have been acquired by the Land Commission for reallocation, (b) the date on which each estate was acquired, and (c) the approximate date on which it will be reallocated.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Meath Lands.
The reply to (a) and (b) in the question takes the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated in the Official Report.
As regards (c) I am as yet unable to suggest when allotment of these lands will be effected but there will be no avoidable delay.
Following is the statement:—

In addition, there are various remnants of estates and small units on hands.
asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have yet acquired the 1,300 acres in North Meath which he referred to in reply to a question on 11th May, 1955.
Acquisition proceedings have been instituted in respect of 80 acres of the area referred to. The Land Commission have decided not to proceed further in the case of an area of 340 acres and the acquisition of the remaining 880 acres is still under consideration. Apart from these areas, acquisition proceedings for three estates totalling 373 acres in the locality have reached an advanced stage.
Can I take it then that there is, in fact, no 1,300 acres being acquired in North Meath?
At the time I gave the previous reply, proceedings were under way for the acquisition of 1,300 acres.
