Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Hospital Treatment of Limerick Children.

asked the Minister for Health whether Anthony Barron and Mary Clancy of Camos, Bruff, County Limerick, were patients or inmates of Croom Hospital at any period this year, and, if so, if he will state (a) the duration of illness in each case, (b) the date of admission and discharge of each child, (c) the name of the person who certified each such admission and/or discharge, and (d) the names of the persons who brought each child to the hospital or removed it therefrom on the days of admission and discharge, respectively.

The child, Mary Clancy, was admitted to the Croom Hospital on the 28th March, 1955, and was discharged on the 14th May, 1955. The child was admitted to the hospital on the certificate of the district medical officer. Information as to the person who brought this child to hospital is not available in my Department, but it was discharged in the custody of its grandmother.

The child, Anthony Barron, was admitted to the Croom Hospital on the 4th April last and was discharged on the 15th April. He was admitted on the certificate of the district medical officer and was discharged in the custody of his mother. Information as to the name of the person who brought this child to the hospital is not available in my Department.
