asked the Minister for Justice whether, in view of the public disorder which frequently arises as a result of the activities of a certain sect (name supplied), he will take steps to curb such activities.

As court proceedings are pending in connection with an incident in which members of the sect were involved, I do not propose to answer the question at present.

Irrespective of the court proceedings which are taking place in the District Court to-morrow, when a curate of the neighbouring parish——

The case is before the court and the Deputy should not refer to it.

Generally speaking, would the Minister state why he does not take the necessary steps to curb the provocative publications——

The Deputy is clearly disobeying what I asked him to do—not to make any remarks in reference to a case before the courts.

I am not referring to the case before the court. I am talking about the pamphlets which are distributed throughout the country by this sect.

Is the Deputy not clearly likely to influence a court in respect of these matters?
