asked the Taoiseach how many families occupy one room only in (a) Dublin, (b) Cork, and (c) Limerick, according to each of the last three census reports.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Families Living in One Room.
Questions relating to housing accommodation were not asked at the 1951 or 1956 Censuses of Population, the most recent Census of Population at which the particulars required by the Deputy were collected being that taken in the year 1946. I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the desired information in respect of this Census and the two preceding Censuses of Population.
Following is the statement:—
