asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of the £5.2 million for the E.S.B., in the Capital Budget, the gross amount for (a) normal development, (b) rural electrification, and (c) repayment of bank borrowing, and further, the amount available towards the financing of these from E.S.B. resources.

The information requested by the Deputy is as follows:— (a) normal development—£3.8 million; (b) rural development—£2.3 million, including £0.3 million in respect of post-development work; and (c) repayment of bank borrowing—£1.2 million.
The amount estimated to be available to the E.S.B. from its own resources towards financing its capital programme in 1957-58 is £2.1 million.
