Vol. 162 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Capital Schemes Allocations.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that local authorities, including the Corporation of Limerick, were given to understand by his predecessor that they would be informed in March of this year of the amount of money which would be made available to them for capital purposes, including housing, during the current year; and if he will now state the amount of such moneys which will be made available to the Corporation of Limerick, and when.

I am not so aware. For my own part, I can assure the Deputy that issues from the Local Loans Fund will be made to meet the present capital commitments of Limerick Corporation as they arise for payment and that all further necessary borrowing for approved operations will be sanctioned by me.
