The following messages have been received from Seanad Eireann:
Seanad Éireann has made the following Orders:—
(1) That a Select Committee consisting of seven members be appointed to be joined with the Select Committee appointed by Dáil Éireann on 26th March, 1957 to direct and control the Oireachtas Restaurant;
That the quorum of the Committee be two;
That the Committee be nominated by the Committee of Selection.
(2) That in pursance of Standing Order 91 F of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business, a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of Dáil Éireann to constitute the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills and that it be referred to the Committee of Selection to nominate the members of the Select Committee.
(3) That in pursuance of Standing Order 56 of the Standing Orders relative to Private Business, a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of Dáil Éireann to constitute the Joint Committee on Standing Orders and that it be referred to the Committee of Selection to nominate the members of the Select Committee.
Seanad Éireann has accepted the Social Welfare Bill, 1957, without recommendation.
Seanad Éireann has accepted the Social Welfare (Children's Allowance) Bill, 1957, without recommendation.
Seanad Éireann has passed the Turf Development Bill, 1957, without amendment.
