asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether his Department has received an application from the Kerry County Council for sanction for a compulsory purchase order for 64 sites for the erection of 64 single rural cottages, and, if so, on what date it was received, and the cause of the delay in sanctioning it.

The Kerry County (Rural) (Agreement) No. 1 Labourers Acts Scheme, 1957, was received in my Department on the 21st September last. The delay in giving a final decision on it has been due to numerous discrepancies in the form of the order. These must be either corrected in my confirming order or else the order must be annulled. A decision will be given in the near future.
