asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he will arrange for the printing of a commemoration stamp in memory of James Connolly, one of the executed leaders, to remind the present generation of young Irish men and women of the true aims, objectives, and progressive social philosophy of the 1916 Rising, so far unrealised.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Connolly Commemoration Stamp.
The 1916 Rising will be recalled by the issue this year of a special postage stamp to mark the centenary of the birth of Thomas J. Clarke, the first signatory of the proclamation of the Irish Republic.
The question of issuing a special stamp in honour of James Connolly will be considered when a similarly appropriate anniversary in his case occurs.
