asked the Minister for Finance whether it is intended to commence drainage work on the Broadmeadow River near Swords during the coming financial year; and whether work will begin during the summer season.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage of Broadmeadow River.
The design and preparation of a scheme under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, for the Broadmeadow catchment area is in hands. The completion of that work will take time and, subsequently, the requirements of the Act as regards exhibition, consideration of observations and confirmation will have to be complied with. There is no prospect of drainage operations being commenced in the catchment during the coming financial year.
