asked the Minister for Defence why the usual Defence Forces parade was not held in Cork City on Easter Sunday this year.
Ceisteanna (d'Atógaint). Questions (Resumed). - Defence Forces Parade in Cork City.
The decision not to hold a military parade and march past in Cork City on Easter Sunday this year was reluctantly taken because of military exigencies, which rendered no other course practicable.
There was, however, open air Mass with military ceremonial on the square at Dún Uí Choileáin and afterwards, a wreath was laid on the grave of Thomas Ceannt.
