Vol. 167 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Exports of Native Wheat.

asked the Taoiseach if he will indicate (a) the amount of native grown wheat sold for export this year, (b) the countries to which it was exported and (c) the price paid.

No Irish wheat was exported in January or February of this year, the only months for which detailed export trade statistics are available. It is understood, however, that in recent weeks up to 10,000 tons of Irish wheat have been sold for export, to Britain and the Six Counties, at prices ranging from £18 10/- to £19 per ton f.o.b.
