At this stage I am not in a position to state when the incentive bonus scheme for forestry workers will be introduced at the forests in West Cork.
Will the Minister say if the scheme is available to all forests?
It is being extended step by step but it cannot be started in all forests at once. It requires the assistance of an expert. There are 300 forests and it will be some time before it spreads.
Will the Minister make available details of the scheme to workers in other forests?
It is a matter of the technical difficulty of applying the scheme administratively to the different groups of workers. There is the difficulty of applying the particular piece rates in operation. It is a highly technical matter which must be spread step by step.
Will the Minister table the scheme?
I am not sure if that is practicable.
