As shown in Table IV of the tables in connection with the Budget, the capital expected to be available to public bodies from sources other than the Exchequer totals £6.82 million. Of this amount £1,000,000 is available to the E.S.B. from the proceeds of the Public Stock Issue of March, 1958, and £0.3 million to Bord na Móna under a loan agreement with Messrs. A. Guinness, Son and Company Limited. The balance of £5.52 million is expected to be raised by the air companies, local authorities and other public bodies from banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions. It would not be proper to publish more detail at the present stage.
