The cost of the services referred to in respect of the year ended 31st March, 1957, was £838,000, made up of £560,000 for salaries of dispensary doctors, £176,000 for drugs and medicines and appliances, and £102,000 for other expenses. Separate figures for appliances, as distinct from drugs and medicines, provided at dispensaries are not available.
