There is no official control over the marketing or price of malting barley. That being so, no special inquiries have been made regarding rejections. I am aware that barley, like other cereal crops, was affected by the unfavourable weather conditions this year and this, of course, must have had a bearing on the percentage accepted for malting purposes.
