asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the large number of unemployed in North Tipperary, he will consider making an additional grant for roads, rivers and other public works.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - North Tipperary Public Works Grant.
Tipperary (N.R.) County Council have already been allocated the full amount of their due share of Road Fund grants for 1958-59. There are no funds available for allocation towards works under the Local Authorities (Works) Act. Sanitation schemes are not assisted by capital grants but by a subsidy in aid of annual loan charges.
