Vol. 171 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pension Insurance: Reciprocal Arrangements.

15.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if discussions are taking place between the Government and that of the United Kingdom to extend the reciprocal relations between the two countries to cover pension insurance; and, if not, if he will consider initiating such discussions.

The only pension insurance involved in reciprocal arrangements between this country and Great Britain is in relation to widows' contributory pensions.

Negotiations have taken place between my Department and the British Ministry of Pensions and National Insurance in regard to the revision of the existing reciprocal agreement, and the question of reciprocity in respect of widows' pensions was included in the discussions.

Does that apply to the Six County Government also?
