On 30th November, 1958, four men were employed on the erection of labourers' cottages for the Waterford County Council. At the corresponding dates in 1957, 1956 and 1955 the numbers of men employed were, respectively, nil, ten and one. No particulars are available in the Department of the number of men employed by the council on housing maintenance and repair work.
