asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the county road from Bevin to Cronasillagh in the Kilcar district of County Donegal has been rendered impassable by traffic to the nearby afforestation scheme; and, if so, whether he will arrange to have the road properly repaired by direct labour or by a special grant to Donegal County Council.

No proposals on this matter have been submitted to me by the Donegal County Council. A very substantial Road Fund grant is allocated each year to the county council for the improvement of county roads. The selection of roads for improvement under this grant is a matter in the first instance for the county council.
