Engineering and valuation surveys of the Broadmeadow catchment area have been completed and work is proceeding on the design of a scheme. It will be some months yet before it can be known whether an economic scheme is feasible. Subsequently it would be necessary to comply with the requirements of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, in regard to exhibition and confirmation of the scheme. At this stage it is not possible to state when drainage works may be commenced.
