The grants made available by my Department are not allocated specifically for the relief of unemployment. Grants are allocated by the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance for that purpose.
In so far as grants at my disposal are concerned, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question by him on 2nd December last. The initiation of proposals involving loans is a matter for the local authorities.
