Vol. 174 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Wicklow Estates.

8.

andMr. P. Brennan asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in regard to the Greenacres Estate, Tombreane, Carnew, County Wicklow, (1) the number of holdings it is proposed to create, and (2) the average size of such holdings; and, if in the allocation of such holdings, consideration will be given to uneconomic holders in proximity to this estate by rearrangement.

The proposed number of holdings is six and average size 60 statute acres. The claims of all local uneconomic holders will be fully considered. I should add that an area of 141 acres on this estate was allotted last March amongst six local small-holders and two cottiers.

9.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have yet prepared a scheme for the division of the Byrne and Fisher Estates, Coonanstown, Dunlavin, County Wicklow; and, if so, when it will be put into effect.

The preparation of a scheme for these lands is under active consideration and there will be no avoidable delay in putting it into effect.
