The Sugar Beet Factory at Carlow was erected in 1926, and was acquired by Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teo. in 1933. The factories at Mallow, Thurles and Tuam were erected in 1934.
Would the Minister be good enough to forward a copy of that information to the chairman of the sugar company who seems to be under the impression that there are only three sugar factories in the country?

Is Deputy Flanagan not aware that during the erection of the beet factory at Thurles, Fine Gael, or Cumann na nGaedheal, as it was then, hoped for the day when the crows would fly through it?
