Wicklow County Council submitted a detailed design for my approval last December. Subsequently, however, the County Manager decided to have perspective elevational drawings prepared so as to satisfy the County Council and the Arklow Urban District Council as to the appearance of the bridge when reconstructed. I am deferring a decision in the matter until these drawings and the County Council's recommendations are available.
