Vol. 177 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Letter from Irish Medical Association.

6.

asked the Taoiseach whether his attention has been drawn to an open letter addressed to him by the Irish Medical Association; and if he has any comment to make on it.

I have received the communication referred to in the Deputy's Question. The Deputy will have noted the character of the communication and the fact that it was sent to the newspapers at the same time as it was sent to me. Apart from mentioning these unusual features of the matter, I have no comment to make.

Would the Taoiseach not indicate whether the Minister mentioned in that letter— the Minister for Health—has yet had any discussion with the Irish Medical Association?

I would suggest that the Deputy address that question to the Minister.

Does the Taoiseach not know what his Ministers are doing?

I have a general idea.
