asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state (a) the period served by Mr. T.C. Courtney as an official of the Department of Local Government, (b) the pension to which he was entitled on resignation from the Department, (c) when he was appointed to Córas Iompair Éireann, (d) when he left the service of Córas Iompair Éireann, (e) the reason for his resignation, (f) whether he is at present employed by the State or a State-sponsored body and (g) the total of his pensions from employment by the State or by State-sponsored bodies.

The information requested by the Deputy is as follows:—

(a) Service with the Department of Local Government from the 23rd February, 1925 to the 22nd September, 1930 and, from the 1st October, 1934 to the 17th February, 1949. Service with the Tipperary North Riding County Council from the 1st October, 1930 to the 30th September, 1934 is also deemed to be service in the Civil Service for the purposes of the Civil Service (Superannuation) Acts. (b) Nil; (c) 18th February, 1949; (d) 31st August, 1958; (e) Ill-health; (f) No; but he is a part-time member of the Board of Córas Iompair Éireann; (g) £1,743 15s. per annum.
