The Scheme of Conciliation and Arbitration for the Civil Service enables Civil Service grades to make claims for improvements in their conditions of service. A claim that those Post Office grades which have not a weekly half-holiday at present should receive one has been submitted to the Departmental Conciliation Council and is at present under consideration.
