I propose, with the permission of the Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the volume index figures of Industrial Production to the base 1936=100, for (1) All industries and (2) Industries producing transportable goods in each of the years 1955-1958 inclusive. The Census of Industrial Production taken in respect of the year 1935 was limited in scope and cannot therefore be used as a basis for comparison with the Censuses for the years 1955-1958.
Following is the statement:—
VOLUME of Industrial Production for (1) All industries and (2) Industries producing transportable goods in each of the years 1955-1958 inclusive.
