Vol. 178 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Condition of Listellick (Tralee) School.

23.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the parents of the children who attend Listellick school, Tralee, are not allowing their children to attend school as a protest against the conditions of the school, which they describe as dangerous and rat infested; and, if so, what action his Department propose to take to remedy this situation.

I am aware that the parents of the children who attend Listellick N.S. are not allowing their children to attend the school as a protest against the condition of the building.

Repair works of an essential nature are being carried out to the school building at present. It is expected that the repairs will be completed early next week, when it is hoped that the children will return to school.
