asked the Taoiseach if he will state the numbers of registered unemployed in the following areas:—Thurles, Nenagh, Roscrea, Newport, Cloughjordan and Borrisokane.

The current particulars of the numbers of persons on the Live Register are compiled only in respect of Local Offices of the Department of Social Welfare and on 14th November, 1959 (the latest date for which particulars are available) there were 186 registrants at the Thurles Office, 218 at the Nenagh Office and 40 at the Roscrea Office. There are not Local Offices at Newport, Cloughjordan or Borrisokane and no separate current data are available for these areas.
