I am informed by the Limerick City health authority that it is hoped to open the new Regional Maternity Hospital in a few months time. The precise date has not yet been fixed.
The final cost of the project has not yet been ascertained but it is estimated that it will be of the order of £360,000.
The Limerick City health authority have not been required to contribute towards the capital cost of this regional project which is being met in full from the Hospitals Trust Fund.
