Vol. 179 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Accredited Farms.

44.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if in relation to accredited farms he will state the number of applications which (a) were received, (b) were successful, (c) were unsuccessful and (d) are awaiting inspection.

The information requested by the Deputy is as follows:—

(a) 1,003

(b) 316

(c) 118

(d) 198.

The remaining 371 applications are at various stages in the process of registration.

Would the Minister be in a position to say whether it is correct that persons applying to have their farms raised to accredited status have been informed that, should they attain that status, they would not be allowed to keep pigs?

That is not so.

It is not so?

Thank you.
