Vol. 179 No. 7

Supplementary Estimates, 1959-60—Leave to Introduce.

Leave granted to introduce the following Supplementary Estimates for the services of the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1960, namely:—
Votes No.—
35 (Local Government),
46 (Forestry).
—(Minister for Finance.)

When does the Minister want to take the Supplementary Estimates?

Tomorrow.

Both? The Minister has not circulated the Forestry estimate yet.

In view of the discussion and how interested the Deputy is to get the money, we shall take it tomorrow.

Housing, anyway.

The Minister ought to discover what is on the paper first and have a word with his Whip.

We are giving all the money required for housing and why not tomorrow?

Will the Minister learn to behave himself? He cannot help being rude. That is his nature.

There are two Estimates introduced, in respect of one of which either the Taoiseach's Department or the Minister's Department had the courtesy to send me an advance copy, which I have submitted to my colleagues. There is no difficulty about taking that tomorrow morning. I am very happy to help in that matter. In regard to Forestry, the Supplementary Estimate has not been circulated yet. When do you propose to do so?

Next week.

There is no need to be rude.

I was merely trying to be accommodating.

The Minister was just being rude. He cannot help it. We understand that.
